Grand Canyon, Arizona
The Grand Canyon is an awesome place. Its overwhelming size and its intricate and colorful landscape make it without question one of the seven marvels of the natural world. Five million visitors a year visit this site, many arriving at the South Rim to experience its beauty from the many overlooks along the canyon edge. There are many miles of paved and unpaved walkways along the rim.
The Grand Canyon Skywalk is its newest attraction, situated literally on the edge of the Grand Canyon. This glass-bottom horseshoe-shaped walkway projects 70 feet out over the edge and allows visitors to look straight down, nearly 4,000 feet below to the bottom of the canyon.
